My blog

Fun stuff (November 4th, blog 12)

This is something that happened a few weeks ago but I forgot to write about until now, but basically what happened was that I was looking at warrior cats art on Tumblr during my free period and this kid walked behind me and saw and they were like "Oh my God is that Tumblr!?" and I was like "yeah" (ok quick interjection but it's so annoying how noisy noise is, like, on gawd, stawp) and then she kept looking at my screen and went "Are you looking at furries?" and I was like "ERHM AHCTUALLY, this is WARRIOR CATS, I look at furry art SEPARATELY!" and she was like "Oh ok, sorry, but are you a furry?" and at that point I just stared at her cause like, I'm looking at warrior cats art on Tumblr, what do you think I am?

And then she said "It's ok if you are, I used to be one in 6th grade" and I was like "Used to be? Did she convert back to being a normie after 6th grade, is that what she's saying?" but I said "Yeah, I am one." and she said "Cool" and then she walked away. (Ok I have an unrelated thing to complain about and, well first of all I just wanna say that P.terry's has the most watered down lemonade I've ever had, and second of all, I sent an email to one of my senators about how like, maybe we shouldn't ban gay clubs from school actually, and he responded by talking about the most random crap, like I was trying to talk to you about gay clubs, not about covid 19 and organ transplants, but like, thanks for the effort I guess.)

Harber City (October 31st, blog 11)

I LOVE THESE SILLY BILLIES! Look at them. They're so silly. It's a Halloween episode.

KPop Demon Hunters! (October 31st, blog 10)

You remember my article about them right? If you read it? Well it's just that- just- I mean- THEIR SONGS ARE PLAYING ON HITS ONE RADIO!!! The movie was already getting popular when I wrote my article, but they've just gotten even more popular since then and it's just amazing. I'm really happy for them, and I'm especially happy that they completely blew Disney's plan out of the water because you KNOW Disney was hoping Elio would fail so that they could have an excuse to keep making live action remakes, but then Sony comes along, and proves to everyone that originality is NOT the thing that makes movies fail. Also, happy Halloween, I'm dressed as Sherlock Hound (like Sherlock Holmes, but a dog, it's from a show).

ALSO I JUST REMEMBERED! Ok so I have this evil epic master plan for the next KPop Demon Hunters movie. Ok so my epic plan, are you listening, are you paying attention, are you listening, ok so my evil master plan, is that one of the girls should be gay. Or bi. Or anything on the queer spectrum it doesn't really matter, but I just think it would be so epic and funny if they did that, it would just be the ultimate "We're better than you" middle finger to Disney, and it would be beautiful. Plz, I'm begging you, it would be epic, PLZ!

More Victorious spinoff thoughts (October 27th, blog 9)

Ok so first of all, Trina should mention (since the show takes place in the future) that Tori and Jade are in a relationship now with zero context and she should never elaborate on it. Also Beck should be an acclaimed actor who nobody likes and he should be lonely and not get with anyone. Meanwhile Robbie should be out and proud and not creepy anymore. And he should apologize to Cat for being creepy. Cat should cure cancer and be a doctor. And Andre should be an accomplished songwriter and he should have a partner who is cool and alt because reference. Yeah.

I read the new Duncan and Eddie comic before I went to bed and had to stop everything to write about it (October 26th, blog 8)

I am dead, I have died.

I hate these friggin dumdums and their dumb decisions! Gah, they're just so stupid and I hate them. But also I love them and want them to feel loved. It's just so sad cause Kip so reminds me of someone I know in real life, so quick to apologize, and so painfully obvious with their body language. I just don't understand how someone can live like that, so easily nervous and people pleasing. Tch, these mortals with their human feelings. Literally could not be me.

No but seriously, I just don't understand it on a fundamental level. Like, how can you still be apologizing!? It so clearly and logically was not your fault, but you're the one apologizing? They're the one in the wrong if anyone is, not you! But I guess I can kinda get it. Like if someone's afraid of flying and you tell them that "Erm actually, planes are safer than cars," then they would probably still be scared, because it's irrational, y'know? I don't think it's supposed to be logical. I don't know, maybe my brain should give me normal human anxieties and worries for a day so I could relate to people better. But also it seems really annoying and crappy so maybe not.

News news news (October 26th, blog 7)

Ok so first of all, I know I'm really late to this, but PIKMIN NEWS! Did you see that short?! I thought it was boring and cheesy, but PIKMIN!!! YAY! And then they announced a Pikmin 4 update! With no update to the multiplayer feature. RIP. I mean like I don't know, am I the only one who thinks that the second player should get to play as Oatchi instead of literally just throwing rocks offscreen? It's lame! And boring. It's already hard enough to convince people to play the time management alien game with you, but then you have to tell them that all they get to do is throw rocks? That's rough buddy.

I have more stuff to talk about though so now onto Warrior Cats, my favorite cult cats book series. It's just that they put out a sample of The New Prophecy graphic novel and it looks really cute. There's also a new artist for it too. I'm exited to see if they make Brambleclaw a likeable character and not an asshole. That would be cool. Because he's very hateable right now, and I would prefer to not hate people.

Now for TV and movie news there's Laika with a new film in the works, titled Wildwood. It doesn't say too much about the plot though, and mostly just shows off their epic birb. Which is pretty epic, but like, still, pretty short overview. Now for TV news, there's a new Victorious spinoff, yeah remember Victorious? I remember really liking it when I was younger but whenever I go back to this show I realize just how weird parts of it are, which I guess makes sense considering the fact that the director was revealed to be a huge creepo! Which is why it's so weird that they're making a spinoff of it. I mean I just assumed that they would leave the guy in the dust and try to avoid anything that related to him, but I guess not. The plot seems, I don't know, interesting? It's just that they always painted Trina to be some dumb annoying girl so I just worry that they'll continue to not give her any sympathy in this new show. But I guess we'll see. There's more news, but I have notes to do, and I'm tired, so good night!

Bleh (October 13th, blog 6)

As my homework load has increased I find myself consistently thinking "MAN, maybe I SHOULD get medicated," and then I finish it all at 12 a clock and think "Nah, I've got it." And then I go to sleep until the next time I procrastinate on something until the last minute.

I made pancakes (September 28th, blog 5)

I woke up this morning and I wanted pancakes, so I looked in the fridge but we didn't have any. So I thought, "well, we probably have a batter mix in the pantry" so I went to go check, and we did have some. So I started to get a pan out and everything until I realized that the batter had expired 3 years ago. So then I went to try to make my own, so I looked up some recipes and started getting out the ingredients until it got to baking powder which was when I realized we didn't have baking powder. So then I looked up pancake recipes without baking powder and I ended up on a souffle pancake recipe. So I started making those, but the article didn't have specific measurements, so I had to guess.

Here's what I came up with:
3 eggs, separate the whites - use an actual mixer next time
2 teaspoons sugar - put more sugar next time
1 cup flour - put less flour next time
1 cup milk - put less milk next time
Some butter - Use from a stick next time so you can measure
1 teaspoon or less of vanilla extract
Note: Slightly undercooked pancakes are better than slightly overcooked pancakes

And so I wrote it all down, and had my pancakes at 11pm, they turned out fine, but I definitely wouldn't call them souffle, and then I went back to the article and realized that they had the exact amounts written down at the bottom of the page.

The Night is Short, Walk on Girl (September 27th, blog 4)

It was really good! Funny and colorful. The voices of the dub were a little weak at first, but it seemed like they grew into their roles over time.

My day (September 26th, blog 3)

I was showing my website (or this website I suppose, also my articles) to my English teacher (because she asked if I did any creative writing) and she was very impressed, so that was nice. It gave me the idea to add a "my works" part of the site, so then I can just show people that instead of trying to go through a whole list. Y'know, just cause I've done so many awesome and epic things. Mi presentación fue bien en mi clase de Español. Intento. Hablé sobre Pedro Peirano, de "31 Minutos" fama. Pero, "No" parece popular tambien.

There's also an open mic night today, something my school does, but I'm going to have to miss it. It's too bad, but at least they put performances on youtube, so I'll just watch those. I finished watching "The Rabbi's Cat" by the way, after I finally found a place to watch it on. It was good, strange. No real ending or sense of finality, but the animation was pretty, it reminded me of a warrior cats map with its different art styles. I added it to my list and now I've started watching "The Night is Short, Walk on Girl". So I guess I'll see how it is, at least this one's on a real streaming service.

Too many graphic novels! (September 24th, blog 2)

They're too good! Too good. They make me read them in full for two hours straight instead of doing notes. They're tricksters of trickery, don't trust them. Especially don't trust Hunger's Bite (Taylor Robin), Clementine (Tillie Walden), How it all Ends (Emma Hunsinger), Strange Bedfellows (Ariel Slamet Ries), Kiss Number 8 (Colleen AF Venable), Beetle and the Hollowbones (Aliza Layne), or I Kill Giants (Joe Kelly).

Visitor counters (September 24th, blog 1)

Every time I have to sign up for some widget or visitor counter for my website I feel like I'm signing my soul away. Bravenet, what I used for my visitor counter, asked for my full name so I literally just put Jane Doe as a joke and it took it.
