This week I wanna talk about Stugo, which was put on Disney+ recently (pretend it’s still recent) on July 31st, because it’s a pretty funny show that not a lot of people seem to know about. The show takes place on an island where 6 overachieving middle schoolers (Pliny, Merian, Chip, Larry, Sara, and Francis) do stuff. They went on the island expecting to be going to Dr. Lulah’s summer camp but it turned out that Dr. Lulah just wanted free child labor so they don’t actually do camp things. I don’t wanna spoil too much but my favorite episodes are probably the talking dolphin one, the secret twin one (because funny haha), the TV one, the YA elephant one, the encounter with death one, and the Francis one where Marian freaks out.
I still don’t understand the name though, like it’s just Stugo what does that even mean? I mean it’s just that in other shows the name actually means something like how Gravity Falls is named after the main location of the show, or how The Owl House is- ok well that’s also the name of a location, but there’s also Amphibia- actually y’know what? I’m gonna choose different examples. Regular Show describes everything that the show isn’t, Adventure Time, time for adventure, you know how it is. So yeah, I don’t get the title. But anyways, I just hope the show gets a second season. I know they said that a second season was in development and that it was just halted to see how it does on Disney+, but I mean, literally none of my friends had heard about this show until I told them about it so I don’t know how well the show’s doing, but if Kiff gets a second season then Stugo should get one too. I just realized, Stuco, Stugo. I’m big brain. Also if you’re wondering why you’ve seen so much of me instead of Gator then it’s just because he’s busy but he’s still working.
