Ok so y‘know how everyone was talking about KPop Demon Hunters and about how good it is or whatever, and it’s like, well geez is it really THAT good? IT IS, IT IS THAT GOOD! Like can we just talk about this silly damn movie for a second here like Sony just shadowdrops this gem onto us out of basically nowhere and it’s actually great! It’ll be a real hard time convincing your friends to watch a movie called KPop Demon Hunters with you, but if you do convince them then I’m sure they’ll have a good time. It’s just a really solid, and funny movie. And the animation is off the walls, it’s great. It’s also just more cartoony than some cartoons, it’s just that expressive! Also the songs! The songs are good too. And I mean I was surprised cause the songs were the one thing that I didn’t think I was gonna like in this movie, but I liked them too. It’s also very clear that they brought in real singers for this movie cause damn can they hit those high notes. It’s like seriously Broadway level over there. I mean like I don’t know if they actually are, but they’ve certainly got the voices for it. But yeah, the songs are good, lyrics are solid, choreography is also good (at least I assume it is, but to be fair, even my mother says I can’t dance), and it looks good.

BUT, we all have to be cynics sometimes and I DO actually have some problems with this movie. First of all, the characters are silly and lovable, but they don’t show them enough, like with Mira and Zoey, they should’ve gotten way more screen time. And second of all, I don’t like having to see the boy bands abs all the time, it’s really annoying, and I didn’t find it funny enough to do the joke so many times. Maybe I’m biased cause I’m a lesbian, but you at least definitely didn’t have to do the ab joke at the end in the middle of the battle! That one at least, was certainly unnecessary. To be fair though, I’ve always been uncomfortable with scenes where they try showing off character’s hotness, cause it’s like Geez! Get a room! Five feet apart, save room for JESUS! (I apologize christians, I’m a jew making a joke) Like even with kissing and stuff it’s like okay guys, you done? You done yet? Or are you just gonna keep making out for five minutes?! So take that last critique with a grain of salt cause it doesn’t seem to be a problem that other people are having with it. So, yeah, those are the only things that drag it down, in my humble opinion. Also the action’s good! I forgot to mention that. Also it’s a new Sony movie on Netflix that came out on June 20th. ALSO, I know I'm saying also a lot but just one more thing, Gator said that he wasn't going to write an article about Elio because he was disappointed about the cut content behind the scenes, and doesn't wanna write something so negative. He said the movie itself was alright though, but the message could've been expanded more. Ok now that's it.
